Bakewell, the only town in the glorious Peak District is home to some glorious countryside and spectacular walks in Padley Gorge, Mam Tour and some wonderful walks along the River Derwent. Chatsworth House, is the jewel in the crown and so close to Bakewell.

We are rightly proud of our town with its variety of shops, facilities and history which has sustained both the residents and the many visitors to Bakewell over the decades.

Do make sure to drop in to our Visitors Centre and Bakewell museum and local Churches where you'll receive a warm welcome and a plethora of knowledge about all the activities and facilities awaiting you in Bakewell.
