Planning Applications

The Town Council is a statutory consultee on planning issues affecting the Civil Parish of Bakewell.

Planning applications are discussed at meetings of Full Council or at our Planning Committee meetings, dependant on when they are received. Details of our meetings are shown in the Council Calendar.

The agenda shows the applications which will be discussed. If an application is not shown on the agenda, it will not be considered at that meeting and a recommendation to the Planning Authority will not be made.

Members of the public are welcome to attend our meetings to give their views on planning matters in the Public Speaking section of the meeting. Pre-booking is not required. Your contribution should not exceed three minutes.

Please remember that it is Peak District National Park Authority or, in rare cases (for strategic matters) Derbyshire County Council who decide the outcome, not the Town Council. Your representation should be no longer than three minutes in length.

Planning Applications may be viewed at the Peak District National Park Planning Portal.
