Derbyshire Dales District Council to discuss traveller sites

The District Council is to hold an extraordinary meeting at 6.30pm on Wednesday 2nd September which "on the work that has been undertaken to identify potentially suitable permanent sites in accordance with its duties and responsibilities to Gypsies and Travellers under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017."

Bin collections impacted by coronavirus outbreak

The Mayor of Bakewell, Bill Storey, organised a morning of litter picking in a wood owned and managed by Bakewell Town Council on Saturday 2nd March.

DDDC Consultation on potential Council Tax hike to address long term empty homes issue

Making a splash in Bakewell

Bakewell Swimming Pool staff launched their new fitness classes on Friday evening 29th September 2017 with Gym Circuits, Aqua Fit and Aqua Bootcamp. Some people attending chose to take part in all three classes, others picked the one that suited them most.

District Council Car Park Review

The District Council's consultation on its car parking policy is now live and taking place across the district until 18 September 2017.

The review comes about following recommendations by the Community & Environment Committee, 16 March 2017 to review various aspects of the car parking policy. These include:-
