Best Dressed Christmas Window 2024
Yet again judging proved difficult for Bakewell's annual town council organised best-dressed Christmas window competition.
So many businesses have again gone to town with their beautiful and creative window displays for the festive season.
This year's judging was carried out by Lady Edward Manners and Town Council mayor Helen Garvey who were bowled over by all the hard work that had gone into making Bakewell look Christmas-ready.
Tough decisions were called for, but eventually prizes of charming hand-crafted rosettes by Debbie Walker were handed out to the following…
First prize went to the Wheatsheaf, with the judges extremely impressed with their stunning painted windows by High Peak Art.
Second prize went to The Tourist Information centre who have really gone to town this year, with their imaginative displays.
Third prize went to Bloomers whose understated door and window decorations blend seamlessly with their existing foliage.
Showstopper Award this year went to the Rutland Arms Hotel with two eye-catching Christmas trees lighting up the town at night in a truly magical way.
The town council would like to thank all of our truly wonderful businesses that go the extra mile to light up and make Bakewell such a special place at Christmas time.
