New defibrillator at Moorhall

New defibrillator at Moorhall

Members of the Garratt family joined Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, Mayor Bill Storey and members of Bakewell Town Council to mark the installation of a new public access defibrillator outside the Moorhall General Store.

The installation of this defibrillator will serve a large residential area and is the first public access device of this type outside the town centre.

Bakewell Mayor, Cllr Bill Storey, said "It is greatly encouraging to see what can be achieved when people and organisations come together to install a life-saving device such as this for the Bakewell community."

The defibrillator was funded through donations from the Garratt family, Derbyshire Dales Local Projects Fund and Bakewell Town Council. It is owned and will be maintained by the Town Council. Siting and installation of the device is by the kind permission of the Moorhall General Store.
