Derbyshire Dales District Council reminds residents that the Christmas and New Year bank holidays mean some bin collection days change over the festive fortnight.

COVID-19 Tier 3 restrictions in Derbyshire
The national restrictions end on December 2nd and England will now move back into the previous tier system.

Cancellation of Act of Remembrance - Sunday 8th November 2020
Following the announcement of a further lockdown from Thursday, we have had to cancel any formal Bakewell Remembrance Day events, both in Bath Gardens and the Parish Church.
We wish to have a carpet of wreaths in front of the WW2 memorial on Sunday, so if anyone wishes to purchase a wreath from either the Poppy Shop or via Mark Wakeman at the Pet Supplies shop, a member of the RBL will lay them on Sunday.... Read More »

Community Litter Picks Resume
Organised by DCllrs Mark Wakeman and Alasdair Sutton the Community Litter Pick resumed on Saturday 12th September. The photograph shows Cllr Bill Storey, Sarah Dines MP and CCllr Judith Twigg. A large sheet of plastic was recovered from the river along with a considerable amount of wet wipes.
