Car Parking

Car parks in Bakewell are either owned and operated by Derbyshire Dales District Council or are privately controlled. Parking on the public highway is the responsibility of Derbyshire County Council.

Bakewell Town Council does not own or control any car parks and, as such, we are unable to assist if you have received a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

For help with a PCN you should follow the instructions on the notice. You will find more information at http://www.parksmarter.org.uk/.

Where can I obtain or renew my Gold Card travel pass?

Gold Card application forms can be obtained from Bakewell Library, off Granby Road, Bakewell or can be downloaded and posted to:

New applications can also be made in person at Matlock Town Hall.

You can renew your Gold Card online and existing Gold Card holders who have a query about their card can call Derbyshire Dales District Council on 01629 761 199.

I have a Council Tax query, who should I contact?
