Bakewell in Bloom is an enthusiastic group of community minded individuals who love Bakewell, the local environment and particularly the countryside, gardens and green spaces in and around town.

The Bloom Group works in cooperation with the local authorities including Town, District and County Councils, the Peak Park Authority and Haddon Estate. We work with the schools, care homes, The Medway Centre, local gardening groups, local businesses and numerous other groups and organisations.

Our committee meets each month and we are always pleased to see newcomers. If you would like to help, please contact Vicky 01629 810249 or Julia 01629 815123 or Twitter @BakewellBloom

We are currently thinking about the 2018 campaign, planting bulbs and perennial wildflowers.

Do come and join us, you are most welcome!

In the 2017 East Midlands in Bloom Competition we achieved, with 160 points, a Sliver Gilt for Bakewell and a special Judge's Award for George Challenger, for his invaluable contribution in knowledge and conservation of indigenous wildflowers, trees and local heritage.
