THE BAKEWELL SHOW
Always held on the first Wednesday and Thursday in August, the iconic Bakewell Show is one of the oldest agricultural shows in Britain with a history going back nearly 200 years.
It retains a strong agricultural identity and has evolved to include a variety of attractions, traders, and competitions making it a fun day out for the whole family. The 187th Bakewell Show takes place on 2nd & 3rd August 2017.
From Saturday 24th June to 2nd July 2017 it’s Bakewell Carnival week, and there’s always lots to see and do from the raft race to the most popular Carnival in the Peak!
DAY OF DANCE
Come and help us get Carnival off to a flying start with the International Day of Dance on Saturday 24ht June 2017, with dance groups of all types performing around town.

This ancient custom is only found in Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials. In Bakewell 5 wells are dressed.
